just found out that the 335i engine has received an update in the new 7 series bound for europe. it makes 323 hp and 332 lb/ft torque. just about right on the money with the rumored new S4 engine.
these two will be an even match now..... as long as audi can price the S4 right.

the N54 engine may have been pumped up to 323/332 for the 7 series applciation, however I haven't heard that hte 335i will be coming out of hte factory with those numbers... Similar to how the new 3.0 supercharged will have different outputs for different models...

You also have to remember that the 335i will also be receiving the DKG gearbox that is similar to Audi's new S/Tronic, also complete with 7 gears. Here's hoping that Quattro3 is just as good as we have been led to believe.

The Audi V6 3.0TFSI Supercharged engine will start with 290 hp in the facelifted A6, and most likely will end up with the same numbers in the Q5 and Q7 and maybe in the new D4 A8.
We will not see it in the A4 with 290 hp only as a HP 333 hp in the S4.
German "Auto Motor und Sport" still say the new S4 will end up with the 354 hp 4.2 V8 FSI engine.
In that case Audi can put the 290 hp V6 3.0TFSI in a A4 3.0 Quattro.

I will be surprised if the S4 doesn't get the 3.0TFSi (supercharger) engine. The info I got was the S4 will get a supercharged unit, even though many thought it was a turbo unit, this info has never changed on that one, though I haven't heard very much about the S4 since the last 3 months.
What have you been hearding?

My info still say a 333 hp V6 3.0TFSI Supercharged Audi S4.
But AMuS still keep saying it will be a 4.2 V8 for as long i can remember.

the text in new ams says,that new s4 will get a v6 tfsi with 354 hp,an so the same hp than the v8 engine in the s5!!!
