Hi,

Great to see the Audi RS6 fight the battle and do well for us, over here. :devil:

As usual it's the RS6 vs M5 vs E55K vs S-Type R.

these car pundits critique the RS 6's "too stiff" suspension. I think even if I now had the option of the rumored "Sports Suspension" coming to later US builds, I'd probably pass on it.

I tried to seach for it but a EUropean version of Real Player is required to search. It's no charge for 14 days but a European address is required. I have a US address. Yes, they check. Any of our European friends care to search the Top Gear Online site to see if they can find it?

Sorry for the slow reply.

The RS6 gets the silver medal, in the article and the E55 comes out tops, then the M5 comes out third, with the Jaguar trailing behind in fourth (last).

This is Jeremy Clarkson's opinion...so, It'll be biased towards the E class as he owns a SL55 himself and "Knows how great the engine is". But we all really know what's number one, in our humble opinions ;).

Sorry again for the slow reply....I take it you don't have access to imagestation accounts? If so My apologies, but it was the best place where I could've stored the article for sharing, at the time I scanned them.

Hmmm... the RS6 gets only 3 "dots" for Ride & Handling..

Maybe they should take them on a twisty road, and see who ends out on top, cos we all that all the roads in the world aren't straight..

The RS6 is crap on a twisty road at speed, it wallows through the corners, the factory suspension upgrade stiffens it up but at the expense of ride. Mark you most luxo-barges wallow through the corners on country roads, which are different from the track, where careful preparation can ameliorate some of the problems.

i would HARDLY call the RS 6 "crap" on a twisty road at speed. "not as good as a Porsche" OK. crap, i think not:bunny2:

The RS6 is faster than the M5 around Nürburgring.

I don't think the E55 AMG was tested yet, but I suspect the RS6 would be faster.

Crap compared to what? 200K exotics? If that is the case then not bad for a 85K car to be compared to such other cars.

I was watching a 'Best of' repeat of Top Gear the series on TV and it showed a cut down version review of the RS6 vs E55 by Clarkson and he said he'd rather have the RS6 (who wouldn't?).

Strange...:hmm:
