German police impounds dream exotics

The German police has impounded a dream collection of supercars in the German province of Bavaria today. The brand new Ferrari 430 Scuderia, Porsche 997 GT3 RS, Porsche Cayenne, Bentley Continental GT and Audi R8 belonged to participants of the ‘Club GT Events’ rally that started earlier this week in Cologne and should finish in Split after a route that lead them through Germany, Austria and Croatia.

The police stopped the five supercars for alleged reckless driving on the German autobahn. It’s not the first time the German police puts an halt to a foreign road-rally involving high-end sportscars, last year the Gumball 3000 and Cannonball 8000 faced German roadblocks.

The drivers of the impounded cars carried on to Munich in rental cars.

I am against conducting races on public roads unless of course it is actually a race event. Such hot dogging is nothing but dangerous. And in general, though not always true, the drivers do not have the skills to cope with such speeds and the required handling skills at these speeds.

i not a friend of the cops and it has nothing to do with this, if the guys like to risk their lifes, what the heck do i care but not to put in danger others which have nothing to do with this, and which race cars are we talking about Cayenne , Bentley.....
I have been racing in the Euro and world endurance SBK champion ships for years and i know one thing the guys doing all the wheels on open roads or a ultra quick pit racers are the slowest guys on the track most of the time never even qualified.......
