What's the best any other S5 owner has got out of their S5 on a long journey?

Myself I got 29.1mpg yesterday for the first and was a proud as punch. :wo:

Not bad at all Leadie. How did you managed that?

P.S. On a steady drive, my e46 M3 does 35mpg no probs. The best i got out of a full tank is just over 450miles

With a very uncharacteristic LEADfoot. :hihi:

I was so surprised with I got home that I took a photo. If I go into work this morning I will upload the pic as proof.

P.S.
35mpg for an M3 is very impressive , those two extra cylinders of mine most be killing the economy. Though I did get 40.2mpg out of a TT225 Quattro I once owned and that included a very brief stint at a very decent speed and a normal motorway pace of 80mph. There is something to be said for small potent turbo engines.

Thanks for that Mockenrue, it seems that all of us S5 owner are getting around the 17~19mpg average, it's less than I got from the S4 I had which is a surprised as it didn't have FSi but I am getting extra performance which is also very welcome.

Anyway here that photo as prove the S5 is capable of better.

Leadie,

What is the conversion ratio from your standard to ours (US). I believe your 29.1mpg is the equivilent to our 26mpg or so... I have actually obtained that once in the :rs6kiss: (V8TT 450hp ;) ).
