With the stupid front bumper and the enormous wheel acrhes it looks very ugly. And you can get that kind of power from the standart SL65 , which costs already too much ... around 240 000euro. And this black series will be more like 300 000Euro . For that king of money i can buy a Nissan GT-R for Nurburgring, an Audi R8 :R8kiss: and Audi A8-TDI for daily use. SL65 Black = waste of money :harass:

The arches does everything... So aggressive! :love:
Ofcourse you can get the same power, but the black series are so much more than that.. Not saying that the price is right, it's a hell of a lot of money. Just that a normal SL65 can't be a Black Series. No matter how hard you try..

Only 350 units will be built, 200 of them goes to USA.

All I can say is that, I'd very much like to be one of those 350 lucky bastards...:love2:

BTW, Merc' and Mclaren announced the end of the co-operation when it comes to cars. SLR was declared a huge failure, from 1700 sold SLRs 450 were recalled for over heating problem. Mercedes will develop its next super car (SLC) on its own.

I don't is this going t affect F1 marriage...?

The SLC will look great, for sure. But one fact i dont like is the weight: up to 4200 lb...

what about recuding the weight for a better performence instead of boosting the engine more and more???

Rund 150 000 Euro soll der neue Flügeltürer von AMG kosten und damit im Preis deutlich unter dem SLR McLaren bleiben. Sein Debut wird er zur IAA des kommenden Jahres erleben. Jetzt schon liegen uns die ersten Fotos und Daten vor.
Der AMG Flügeltürer soll als eigenständiger GT für gute Verkaufszahlen sorgen, bis 2012 der Nachfolger des SL auf dem Markt erscheint. Der Achtzylinder-Motor soll 580 PS aus 6,2 Litern Hubraum holen und ein maximales Drehmoment von 580 Newtonmeter entwickeln. Damit ist er sicher mehr als nur ein Lückenbüßer. Der Motor sitzt vorn, aber hinter der Vorderachse. Für die Kraftübertragung sorgt ein neu entwickeltes Dopplekupplungsgetriebe mit den bekannt schnellen und ruckfreien Gangwechseln. Als Fahrleistungen für den maximal 1900 kg schweren Zweisitzer werden 3,8 Sekunden von null auf 100 km/h und eine Spitzengeschwindigkeit von 315 km/h vermutet.

Unter der Motorhaube arbeitet der Hochdrehzahl-V8 aus dem AMG-Regal, der es auf 580 PS und 650 Nm bringen soll. Dieser darf seine Kraft über ein neues Doppelkupplungsgetriebe auf die Hinterräder leiten.
Knapp größer als ein SL kennzeichnen den Sportler die im Dach angeschlagenen Flügeltüren. Der Roadster erhält konventionelle Türen und ein Stoffverdeck. Beide Varianten sollen in unter vier Sekunden von Null auf 100 km/h beschleunigen können und über 300 km/h schnell sein.
