rs6 piston slap

hi, ive just taken delivery of a misano red rs6 .Its an ex demo model from the dealers.Colours not my fav bur growing on me !
Im delighted with the car having owned many bmw m3s and m5s,
Im a little concerened , starting from cold i can hear a little piston slap for a few minutes till the temp rises a little, anyone else heard this ??? Im hoping the car has been run in properly ,only done 5000 miles .Otherwise delighted with it , i enclose pic .
Any help would be much appreciated .

Hi "madmark", welcome to the forum!

If this is your first Audi, you may not know that it's common for Audi engines to sound like a few nails in a tin can have been strapped to the engine block for a few seconds when starting from cold.

The RS 6 in particular has some peculiar noises on starting, but I don't think you should be getting excess noise for more than a few seconds.

You could always record it and ask Eric to post the WAV file for other RS 6 owners to listen to! :D
