Based on what I seen hear the 599 got an awful start, if it had got going sooner the gap would have been huge. But if what we seen was not a poor start by the Ferrari then I too would reckon the GT2 would have made mince meat of it.

I want to see a Bugatti Veyron at one of these events. Then we will see how much awd hurts their acceleration.
