While I was talking to the salesperson and the finance guru, I asked how many folks took delivery of their RS6 thus far.
They mentioned that mine was the 2nd one to leave their lot. I asked them how could this be, since I was 6th in the order?
They said that because of the options I ordered, Audi chose to put my order through first. It seems that they build these cars in batches, and the method to their madness is to build cars with identical options together.
So, even though I was 6th on the list, I was able to get my car most likely even before some people that were on the list before me.
Some of you guys that are still waiting for your cars, the delay could be related.
Just some observations. It can also be that they don't know crap about what's going on, but it seemed plausible.
