What is this? Is it the headlight group? I have read some thread comments about black optics, but still dont get it...

It's where the aluminium and/or chrome effect trim around the windows and grills etc. is deleted in favour of black. I'm personally not a fan of it on any Audi, and IMO it gives the cars an unfinished 'something got left off at the factory' look. :nana:
