A friend crashed his V40 too, and he was safe but not as safe as these people. He ended up in the rear seat.

Shouldn't the airbag go off?

Front airbags only go off with an almost 'dead ahead' frontal impact.
(usually only impacts within about 20 degrees off centre either side of straight ahead)

if you were hit at, say a 45 degree angle (front corner/side) the bags should not go off in the front because you would hit the bag incorrectly.

Surprised the Volvo didn't have curtain or side airbags as it looks to have rolled.


Why was the passenger still in his seat well after the car came to a stand still.?
