Yes, 1500bhp...and it came from a 1500ccm street car's engine! But i bet that 1000hp/litre was anything but long lasting:D
Although, as for today, Audi can easily get inclined to involve Formula 1 business as BMW started to be quite succesful in it. Till now, Audi said that they are succesful in what they do (DTM, Le Mans) while BMW did nothing in F1, but things have changed right now...
