Glad I found this forum, as I am looking forward to learning more and more about my baby!

It was a tough decision for me...I had a 2004 A8L and AoA bought it back due to steering complications so I took the RS6 cuz I couldn't wait 4 weeks for a replacement.

Congratulations and welcome to the forums! Thanks for sharing those pictures.

Curious to know how your experience had been with the car so far compared to the A8?

The A8L is hands down more comfortable, but the TQ of the RS6 is so addicting! The A8L is just a total different car - Total Luxury vs. Total Performance. The A8L's interior is second to none (I think Audi will do very well with this car) and believe me, I was a BMW NUT and even tried to force myself to like the new 745 but just could not do it.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new beast!

I saw the new A8L last night and its a beautiful machine. You were lucky to swap to an RS6 so easily - no fuss no muss.

Congrats again,

Finnus

Congrats, welcome, and enjoy. Car looks great. If you make a trip north to PA send a note and we can give both of our new rides a run.

AvusRS6,

welcome to the forum:cheers: it's great to see more and more of us in the states finally getting their cars. i would assume your'e right about the new A8 being the obvious better car at luxury but no where near as addictive as the RS 6 is!

congrats again!

Congratulations. You'll have some fun. Your car was the one I saw in Knoxville on Saturday, on the truck, headed for VA/MD. It looked very nice, especially with its Mugello sister behind it.

Welcome to the forum.

Congrats on your new RS6 ... seeing those pics just makes me wish I had mine ... just another two weeks I keep telling myself.

As far as the A8L ... would you have considered the new XJ8/XJR or was quatttro a must have ... just curious. I think the Jag will be strong competition for the A8L ... and I say that at risk knowing most here are Audi fans.

Congratulations on the car! What options came on the car? Its my first look at exactly what my car will look like. Hoping to get it before the end of the month. I note the front bumper has Parktronic sensors. Are they active? We had heard we would not be getting Parktronic on the front of the RS 6 in the US.

Sigh...

Yours is the same combination I await. I am pleased you posted the pictures. Did you also get the carbon package?

Mine is done, but still rolling around in the hands of Audi inspectors.

Keep the performance reports coming. Make me green!

Thanks everyone and glad to be here!

I would take the A8L over any Jaguar any day, but that's just my opinion. Not because I owned it once, but the interior of the A8 is second to none in its class. The A8L is a must test drive if you're considering a large sedan, you will love the Dynamic Mode in the suspension.

Drove my baby from Washington DC are to Newark NJ today and made stops often as someone was saying that it was not good to break a car in at constant speed so I did frequent rest stops and hit 120+ a few times...(blew the doors off a E46 M3 :D )
Today was when I truly missed the A8L for its comfort...the RS was very uncomfortable on long trip and the ride was a bit harsh.

I agree the A8L is a fantastic car. My wife and went and test drove one on Sunday and were very impressed with the whole car. The interior and exterior, comfort and styling is terrific. I also agree that the RS6 seats are not very comfortable compared to the A8L or even our current S8. Thanks for the pictures and stories it sounds aside from the seats that the car lives up to the hype. I hope you contiue to get great stories from your RS6 such as dusting other cars.
