great read. very valid and accurate. i wish they would have elaborated more on the reasons why they say the GTR is not comfortable since it was supposedly designed to be so.

for the (theoretical) price, it is a great car. but at 100+ with mark ups i am not so sure because at that level it should be more luxurious and high-end.

if the V8 R8 is this good (barely behind the GTR and in some points faster) the V10should be faster and quicker than godzilla.

The R8 is RIGHT ON the GTR in this test. Less than a second in Road and Lap times. With the markups on the GTR, it almost equals that of an R8.

I know I go on a bit about the confidence that the R8 give the driver to push harder than in other cars but this proves my point. The GTR is miles quicker in between the corners so the Audi is obviously making up time in the corner themselves.

Like RXBG said if the V10 is anything like we think it will be then the GTR will have more than met it's match.

GAME ON.

Reliable info about R8 V10 Ring time is very, very good indeed. It is very fast car...
BTW, all cars are little bit faster on the Ring since track was resurfaced on some sectors... R8 V8 can do Ring now in below 8.00min without problem...

I should be relatively easy based on the 8:04 originally posted by SportAuto, to start with the V10 should be approaching 2~2.5s quicker from 80mph to 160mph, so on the straigths alone the V10 will pull 8~10s off the R8v8's time, then you can reckon on Audi improving slightly on the V8 in both handling and braking which should pull another 2~3s.

That is a total possible improving of 13s and this it solely the above improvements, if Audi improve it's aerodynamics and downforce then you could see another 5 possible seconds. So think alone the lines of 7:46~7:50 in the hands of SportAuto, think of different tyre choices and another 3s could be possible.

With the improvements that KersoF1 is saying then maybe even more. ;)

Might get close but I think 7:45 is nearer the true figure.
