Hummm, i cant say that im a fan of it. I dont know why but I would like to see it on the streets before i pass judgement.

At first, my fav color combination was Dolphin Gray with Carbon Sideblade. However after having to pick up my jaw off the sidewalk one day, the Brilliant Red with Carbon sideblade takes the cake.

i agree. the color itself is hot. a bit too purply for me. then again, even the sprint blue that i loved on my S4 had its low points- natural for any pearlescent color.

Correct. All pearl blues have a red side tone (some see/say purple) and is unavoidable unless you have a lot of green toner in the color. Of course, than you have a green blue face and ruin the whole color (IMHO). A difficult compromise. :cheers:

I had Daytona Gray Pearl Effect with Carbon Sigma Sideblades on order but, I recently changed it to Dolphin Gray Metallic. Why? Well, I just did not liked that Green tint that Daytona has under direct sun light. Simply there is too much Green in Daytona... Other choice was Meteor Gray Pearl Effect(nice Gray-Blue) and it was my second option.

Since current normal range of colors for R8 is not that great I recommend Audi Exclusive colors.

Favourites for Carbon Sigma Sideblades:

Dolphin Gray Metallic(true midium gray metallic!)
Meteor Gray Pearl Effect
Monza Silver Metallic(great color, not so much purple tint as Avus Silver)
Amethyst Gray Metallic(color from Q5 range, pretty interesting)
Stratos Blue Pearl Effect(interesting shade of blue)

You made a good Choice Kreso. If i didn't get the red/carbom combination, i would probably go with the Dolphin Gray Metallic / carbon. BTW. Did the change in color combination delay your order? I suppose not since the car was not at that manufacturing step at the time.

It did since it is Audi Exclusive color... Two more months... Delivery September 2008...

Here is the scenario-my dealer has a production spot for week 26(late June) for normal color(Daytona) but, since I changed to Dolphin it is 4 more weeks. Just factory is closed from 01st till 15th August so, it is moved to week 35...

So is two months the usual delay for ordering Audi Exclusive? Or is it just that long because of the Aug. holiday? Just wondering because I am definately going to Audi Exclusive R8 V10, and hopefully a RS6 sedan if it becomes available here in the States.
