Ok Lon, I'll work with DuckWing (Greg) to see what we can do here to get a nice turnout. An RS/S section or banner designation would be cool.

Greg, let me know what you think. This is a fun event as I had the pleasure to help with the 2004 one in Santa Barbara. And unlike the past gathering you are talking hundreds of Audis with a lot of sponsors and things to do. Sort of a like mini Disney land for Audi enthusiasts.

Going well. See what you can do about the area (not much space needed), but that is cool if not. Maybe a banner once we park (not next to BMW of course). Greg and I will try to get a good turnout of uber Audis if we can for you. Also, call Nathan at Pacfic Audi to help out. Let him know I said to. He was at your last meeting with Penske. Once again, he is back home at Pacific. I know he can get Chris and Trent to ok involvement if you want it.

Does sound like a fun event and I think it's sufficiently far ahead that we can get people together. And since it's in San Diego, no excuse for ben916 this time!!

Ok then Mr. Duck. Let's start planning it. Here is something I was thinking. We RS6ers should meet in the morning someplace in South O.C. for breakfast and to group up. From this place (maybe you can locate something by the beach in San Juan Capistrano or so) we caravan down to San Diego. We then regroup at a location near the stadium (gas station preferrably where premium gas will be $8.00 per gallon by then) and have SD RS6ers and other who could not make the caravan join us here. Then from this location we caravan to the meet as one group. What do you think?

August is looking good for me, perhaps we can get a big :addict: meet!

Ok lets do this. Maybe it won't be five years till the next big gathering of RS6s.

The GTG starts at 11:00AM. May I suggest meeting in San Juan Capsitration at 8:00am for breakfast (need to find place) on this day and out at 9:30AM and regroup in SD near the Stadium (need to figure this out) at 10:45AM at a gas station. Then drive in fashionably late.

Hey Greg and Ben, maybe I'll bring the A8L W12 instead. We can sip champaign and indulge in some cavier from the rear seat refrigerator while watching DVDs on the rear entertainment system while everyone else slums it. Just having fun.:jlol:

Well of course Ben. How could you think otherwise?:) And the champagne is Dom Perion and the caviar is Beluga! And you can only drink champagne out of a crystal flute (standard with the W12):thumb:

PS>excuse my spelling from my previous post. I was typing quickly.

while I'm partial to the twin turbo 4.2L V8...I think I can deal with a V10. I'm in the heart of downtown right by staples center, fyi, so hopefully that isn't too far out of your way.

c'mon, everyone knows that Taittinger Brut Réserve is far more better tasting than any of those "hip" :boring: brands that you're mentioning..

The trick though is to pronounce Taittinger correctly! (the frenchies really outdid themselves on that one...) ;)

(it's pronounced "Tet-an-cheer".. )

No problem. I'll swing by your house on the way to event. And then we can meet up with the caravan at the deisignated meeting place prior to entering the stadium. I'm going to send you a private message with my contact info.

I meant we can meet the Caravan for Breakfast someplace in South OC and then go from there. I work near Downtown LA so I know the area.

Here is my ride:

hey everybody, since I may/may not be around, I figure that I would still toss up a quick post regarding our own rs6.cm caravan down to the big socaleuro event anyway...

So, since the event gets rolling at 11a, and from my part of Orange County (centrally located Irvine) is about an hour to 90 minutes if we take our time, I figure out we can maybe plan on getting together somewhere around my part of the woods or a bit further south to meet up for a late breakfast before we caravan down.

So... working backwards, this would mean that we would probably want to get together around 9am.

Anybody have any suggestions on what they might want for breakfast? Mimi's Cafe is always a great option. Corner Bakery is also another good option and I figure that these are both big chain type restaurants and we're probably all familiar with their type of food. However, in case you're not familiar, here are their websites:

Mimi's: http://www.mimiscafe.com/Menu.aspx
Corner Bakery: http://www.cornerbakerycafe.com/MenuNutrition.aspx

What do y'all think?

Duckie!!! You should take the 74 ORTEGA to Lake Elsinore for the twisty bits!!! Just watch out at the top as there are ZERO guard rails keeping you from going over the cliff.... no BS....
Then a leg stretching of the RS6 on the I-15 South to Mission Gorge Road then the Q or Mimis Cafe...or OGGi's Pizza...(next to Ikea and Lowe's)
