With the RS4 they did a simular sort of thing JC racing some climbers up a mountain.

This time it might be the other way (=down the mountain) with downhill skiing vs. Audi v10 :hahahehe:

I do wonder if they're recording the S11 in HD as rumoured.... that would be cool. :thumb:

Top Gear isn't going to place th RS6 on their laptimelist I guess but where would it be if they did? I reckon between 1.30. ... Or am I completely off track (off track: how fitting here;))

Hmmm, would be quicker than that. The B7 RS4 got a 1:25.2 IIRC, so the C6 RS6 should be good for a 1:27 ish I should think. The hefty weight of the car being an obvious disadvantage...

When is not really sure when it will run on BBC2. First topgearmagazine.nl said 22 juni. (http://www.topgearmagazine.nl/optv/) But as it apears it wil be later... when we look at other sources. Top Gear - Germany means Top Gear vs D-motor (Sabine Smithz,...) I guess.

Yeh, but you have to take into account what type of track the Top Gear circuit is. Would you expect the CLS55 AMG or the Z4 M to beat the CSL? I wouldn't. A 1:27-28s is more than feasible for the new RS6.

With regards to the times guys, they are on the Top Gear website. And the 996 Turbo's time was produced in v.heavy rain. The website should really note if the times were set in the dry or in the wet...and also by which of the Stigs!

Top Gear is going to be fantastic(RS6, GT-R, CLK DTM BA, 3 Veyrons, the new Koenigsegg(?),... )! Hate the fact they can't come up with a proper date when it will begin!

Turbo ran in monsoon-like conditions with so much standing water the track resembled a swimming pool. I believe damp conditions thwarted the CSL somewhat too, but none of takes away from the fact the B7 RS4 turned in a great time. No surprise there though, it's a great all-rounder.

DWD- hope the Irvine meet went well. Just checked in here and would like to thank you for the invite. I was on the 405N near Wilshire yesterday and stuck in traffic alongside a Daytona Gray RS6, stock-looking with light tint. It looked very mean and fat (in a good way) and has really aged beautifully. It was a lady driving, maybe Mrs. DWD?
