Not that I want to be picky...BUT look at the brakes. Don't they look rusty (not just in the holes)? Maybe the car has been standing outside for a while before they took it into the salong (spelling)?

Freddesix,

Brilliant pictures! These must be some of the first of the production vehicle? Congrats!

Lovely car though. What interests me most is not the de-restriction but the special tyres that can be opted. I haven't been able to find much info, regarding the rubber on the 'Race spec' version.

Although I got a confession...I wouldn't mind one myself, untill Audi comes up with a tricked out RS3/4. :bang:

Thanks again for the pictures.

Thanks for the credits.

The rims and the tyres are exchanged by the dealer since the raceversion fitted onto the lightweightrims only manages 500mil (swedish miles, not US miles).

The last thing I've heard about the price is that the current bid is up to 870 000 SEK. In UK there is also a car for sale (delivery next week) at £70 000.

That's £12,500 premium over list!

What's worse, is that the demand for M3 (not CSL version) is very low, within the UK. Those who would pay over list for the CSL will quite possibly loose a small fortune. But someone's loss is someone's gain. :)

Thanks for the details regarding the tyres/rims.

870'000 SEK??? Holy "beep"! That's a LOT for an M3, CSL or not. You get a descent equiped RS 6 for that kind of money. :D

But I guess it will not be used as an allround veichle like the RS 6. It's probably going to work it's ass off on the track, or at least I hope because that's where it belongs.

I forgot to thank you for the pics, they're great. Anyone with a theory concerning the rusty brakes?

Could have been during transport from factory to dealer.

Yup, Your more than likely hit the nail on the head there.

Rusty brakes appear when they haven't been used for some time..so By the looks of things the car has probally been un-used since it has been produced, which is a good thing for the new owner. Maybe someone with more technical knowledge about this, could lighten us up? If not, well...that's the very basics of why they are rusty. :)
