Huh? Did I understand correctly? You're planning to make a stretch A4?

No, no... rig is a photo technical term for a kind of arm that is attached to the car making it possible to capture the car in motion. The arm is then removed in Photoshop.

Details on the rig; I made it myself and it's 7 meters now. Attached with suction cups to the windshields. Will post some more pics later...

Shots looks good. I suppose you are shooting in shutter priority mode (prolly 1/60th of a second) or are you shooting slower. Also what lens, looks to me like a semi wide angle.

Canon EF-S 10-22mm. All shots are 10 or 12mm above on 1.6x crop sensor. Shutterspeed 2 - 3.2 seconds

WOW 2 - 3.2 seconds are you serious. That seems excruciatingly long. But i suppose you were shooting at F/22 or something and it was a little dark outside.

In any case how do you like the 10-22mm? Is there vignetting at 10mm? I have the Sigma equivalent (10-20) and i love it.

oh and D, my old "ghetto" rig broke off my car and was bent horribly, when it hit a parked boat LOL :jlol: Somehow my old D50 and 17-55 was unscathed when it fell into the bushes.

The first shots were taken just as the sun was setting, 8:30 PM in Sweden. f/11 and f/9 on those. The third pic was 12mm, 2 s, f/22 with nd8x+polfilter.

There is no vinjetting at 10mm with one filter attached. But of course there is vinjetting when using two filters (I haven't tried slim filters yet). It has little chromatic abberation...

Oh :( Did the tube break because of the bending or what happend? Mine is made out of aluminium and has wire to hold up the end.

You should try out some of the hoya ultra thin filters. I have a very thin hoya circular polarizer for my 10-20mm and there is no vignetting even at 10mm. I have not tried stacking though but i suppose you can find an equally thin Neutral Density filter that might cut down on the vignetting (although PP is your best bet in the end to eliminate it).

My aluminum tube bent badly when it hit the boat (my front bumper was impacted a bit). This was not a fault of mine but what happened was that i was going around a lake next to my apartment and a gasket in my heater core blew and steam started pouring into my car from the AC Vents. I couldnt see crap and swerved off the road, went through a gas station and onto this guys driveway. I did not damage the boat but my rig was screwed. :(
