It seems not sporty enough for me. It sure will be a good car, but the looks are not that impressive to me.

Another reason I still LOVE my B6 :s4Addict:

*) front bumper from standard A4
*) grill from standard A4
*) standard 18" A4 wheels

the only thing, that looks finished is the rear bumper with the quad exhausts.

On the dark part of the front fascia there is a dark ring which I would guess is the active cruise control, what is the black hole above that on the front bumper?

- Front bumper is actually a little different ;) It is 90% similar though.
- Dont worry, grille will change on production model.
- Wheels will also change.

Overall, I'll wait to see official pics, Audi might suprise us. However, I do understand why a lot of people might not be very happy with the design.

that was exactly my thought. The previous models of the S4 were more agressive than this B8 version of the S4...

The A5 S-line looks 99% like the S5 (grilles are different and rear diffuser).

Apart from the grille, wheels, and badges, will there be any other changes that we arent seeing on the prototype?

Not a Big fan of the New B8 A4. The larger frame and the odd design elements (Looks like a B7 A4, R8 and A5/S5 had a threesome), don't do it for me. It's almost the size of an A6!!!

I know what you mean, but I don't think the official press fotos will be much diferent than this car, because I don't see any tapes or something like that on the lights or bumpers....so I think this is for 95% the end result of the car. I hope I'm wrong but this is just my 2 cents

Yeah - but i don't know - the TT-S also has a different front bumper...if the bumper looks different to the standard - the won't tape it - i think they just won't put it on the prototype car...

But yeah - everything is possible - let's wait and see ;)

The devil is in the details...

Never noticed how the horisontal line that traces back to the rear lights, is actually mimicked in the rear lights too. It connects with the line that goes down then folds back to the rear wheel.

It's clear in the 3rd and 4th shot. Very elegantly done and a detail so many manufacturers miss..

That's something Stefan Sielaff explicitely pointet out in a Youtube video of the Frankfurt show 2007.

They give so much thought to so "tiny" details - that's what i love about Audi.

I guess, i'm a very visual person :hihi:

When driving home on weekend from my working place to the place where my parents live, I was overtaken by a brand new S4.
Unfortunately the car passed me very quick so I had no opportunity to take photos of it -> was the first red one I saw till now.
well ... that thing is REALLY quick - and it's flying round corners -> of course I had no chance to follow it going upwards that relative twisty mountain road in my 90 hp golf TDI MK IV;
really impressive car -> a B7 2,7 TDI tried to follow it, but also had no chance to :-)

I just found a few other pics (hopefully not posted before..). It's on RS4 style rims, looks much better with those than in previous pics. Overall, the same car we all know by now:

I seriously hope it doesn't come with RS4 style alloys. The S4 need a uniform look throughout the ranges, be it S3, TT/S, S4, S5, S6 and S8, the same goes for the RS models. Why do the quad pipes thing if everything else is different.

I seriously hope it doesn't come with a S-Line bodykit.
I hope Audi would give it something more outstanding like the TTS.

The new TT/S is showing the future that all S models should take and I hope Audi follow it's lead.

:boring: snooze.....

Audi/BMW are shooting themselves in the foot with the S-Line and M-tech kits, making the 'special' models seem all the more normal.

Thank god Audi still has RS to inject the wow factor...

Nissan quote 200ms for the GTR so don't get to concerned with the figures. ;)

Well said.

Like the M5, the previous gens of RS4 have followed the one wheel, one car policy that really makes it feel more special. With the RS6, I feel the offering of 4 different types of wheel was a mistake, and how the vehicle adapts to to changing up between 19" and 20" rims is questionable.

For the record, my favorite RS feature is the twin oval pipes. The proliferation of quad pipes is getting quite silly and I fear we'll see twin sets of three before long. :nana: I was behind a B7 RS4 yesterday and it remains of the most striking vehicles on the road. Having driven my friend's, I can also attest to its drivability and great NA engine. The next gen. has a lot to live up to.

Had one parked next to my S5 and in the same colour no less, the S5 had it on looks and elegance but for down right mean and aggressiveness the RS4 had my car beaten into submission.

Will the next RS4 be better?:vhmmm:

Answer = ;)
