Back to basics..., no more ''clever'' gear box behind the steering wheel.

Idrive to the right side of the gear stick ? Surely that will cause problems when trying to change the radio ? Eg trying to change radio and knocking the car into neutral or reverse ?

Other than the gear selector, it looks the same as now to be honest.

It looks exactly the same, complete with it's ill-fitted glove box. :hihi:

Looks as bad as it does now. Something about the wood placement, and the look of it, looks cheap. Not to mention the gaping hole in the dash - with cute curves to disguise it? - that fits the LCD screen. Both the S-class and the 7-series fail because of this, in my opinion.

this is NEVER ever the new 7 series interieur......u really think that bmw is going back to the gear leaver when they were the first manufactorer that had the gear leaver behind the steering wheel with the 7 series?

American cars have had that for years. Not that its anything special.

It seems that ''normal'' gearbox leaver is reallity..., new pic's of the 8 speed '09 7 series gearbox...
