The N63 is an aluminum 4.4L, twin-turbocharged, direct-injected V8 powerplant that churns out an admirable 400bhp and over 450 ft/lbs of torque. The turbochargers are mounted within the ‘V’ of the engine, while the intake manifolds are located on the sides of the block. This allows for an overall more compact unit. It’s believed that BMW will be utilizing the engine in all its current and future V8-powered models.

"All current and future V8-powered models" M3 ???

M3? probably not. might upset the balance of the car with the increased weight. so far, no S or M model has ever had the engine replaced mid cycle.

mb on the other hand, doesn't mind making models obsolete so quickly.
