This would make sense to me. Afterall, this is the motor that the original concept had.

If it actually comes true, we shall see.

This R8 will be awesome, considering the 1,000 pound heavier RS6 is qucker than the current R8, the result should be awesome. Not sure which transmission it would use.

interesting as it seems that the v12tdi is also confirmed but for a little later. 25mpg, 1,000nm and 250 gm co2!

please keep the Communist, Socialist CO2 BS off this forum.

Jk.

Love to see that weeny data in the car mags as if anyone really gives a dam. So just buy some carbon credits, I'll gladdly sell you some and I'll pledge to keep my lawn at 3.5 inches instead of 3.0 to absorb your extra carbon output.

That's not up for you to decide, my friend!

Some of us actually have a non-american approach towards the CO2 question, and care about the environment in which we live.

TT:
The R8 V10 TT will be a mighty car! i'll do my best to be able to buy one, in a couple of years :).

Anyone knows what tranny will be used ? Maybe M/T? Is the engine to powerfull to be used with an R-tronic?

And weight? 4.2 is 1560kg.

EDIT: Just a qualified guess; 1755kg :).

In that case, sorry Aronis.

I just feel that we have to protect our environment. We have been pissing on it for the last many years, so i guess the least we can is show some concern.

Again my apologies. I was stressed at the moment, and didn't know what "JK" meant.

Well, the V10 TT should actually get better fuel economy than the current V8.

ru a supporter of Al Gore  ? And I do prefer to make my own decissions instead of some overpaid burecraut in Brussels making sensles rules and regulations based on baseless politically motivated "warming" assumptions ....

I keep my grass 4" high to offset my own carbon print :harass:

One thing for sure, the RS6 group are far from being conformists and its very cool (no global warming pun intended) that we share a common interest from Europe to <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:country-region w:st="on">New Zealand</st1:country-region> and <st1:country-region w:st="on"><ST1:pAustralia</st1:country-region> ( I know the difference…its like calling a good Southern Boy a Yankee) If only the DRC.............

No, Audi will use the roof intake of the V12 TDI for engine air intake and the side intake to cool the intercoolers.
The burned out R8 V10 TT don't had that and use the side vent's for engine air intake.
