GTR is amazingly fast, but EVO said it best. You can buy PS3 and it is much cheaper ;)

The GTR is incredible on the track but it's ride is bordering on harsh and for you the name and looks (inside and out) are something I can't warm to.

The surprising thing is how the Z06 and 997tt start to put yards out of the GTR after the 100mph mark. This is not the kind of results we have seen in other reviews, maybe this car is more stock than the others (if you know what I mean). Or maybe that is what your extra £50K is buying you in the Porsche, the ability to put much harder after the point were normal cars feel fast, after all the 997tt is a supercar and not a sportscar like that of the GTR.

Or maybe the Porsche is more boosted. It's got the optional Sport Chrono package (as stated in article) but I'd wager that it's running 1.2bar all the way to the limiter and not just 5000rpm. The article also records the GTR's rev-limit as 7000rpm when it's actually 7500rpm.

This article records the 60-100mph time as 5.2s. Motortrend, Autocar, CAR and Edmunds all recorded 0.5s quicker than that. Motortrend and Edmunds also used a different car to the Autocar and CAR test vehicle. What's interesting is that Evo also recorded a slower 60-100 time with the same vehicle as Autocar and CAR - incorrect shift points?

Either way, if you look at the speed trace for the lap, neither car managed to make its straight-line speed count against the GTR in the real world, even as a peak speed on the straights.
