EVO - "I doubt an F430 could cope with the RS6's performance"

The latest EVO just landed on my desk. :deal:

I'm sure a few of you have read it already.

I'm a bit perplexed. They give the RS6 Avant 4/5 and the M5 5/5.
I guess the M5 "wins" because it's more tail happy?
Fine with me, but then they write "...the RS6 feels the better-resolved product. It's just so accessible, and altough a 572 bhp estate car might sound like nonsense Audi has managed to make it feel like every home should have one.

In any case, the RS6 Avant is the fastest estate around :dig:

I think in future test (i.e. not just driving around Paul Ricard) the RS6 will get higher points.

Any comments?

Ya, that is a bit strange. Though to a certain extent (and I'll probably be roasted for this), BMW coasts by a lot on reputation. People just EXPECT it to edge out the competition when in reality that may not always be so.

Rumor has it sport auto will test the RS6 vs the M5 with acceleration figures in the next edition.

Even if this is a GENUINE opinion it is fine because Chris Harriss AND Tiff Nidell have said clearly that they prefer the RS6 over the M5. This shows there could be a healthy mix of opinion.
