Abt R8, R8-R. With Kompressor/Supercharger or not?

I'm hearing rumors that the Abt R8 might have a Kompressor/Supercharger, that they have quoted UK customers this option.

True or not? :confused:

Here is the latest update from Abt, which I got in the mail toady.

The styling kit for the R8 will be available in spring time 2008. As well as the supercharger conversion for the R8 is in development and should be available in Summer 2008.

I have attached some photos of our showcar that we have presented at the Motorshow in Essen 2007 and some information for the supercharger conversion for the R8.

The R8 modification should be roughly available in March/ April 2008. The modification has to be done in Kempten.

Our R8 Kit is offered in a complete kit of:

- Styling and Aerodynamik Kit with CFK parts: frontskirt, sideskirts, rear skirt with end double end pipes, side blades and rear wing.

- Abt suspension springs

- Sport brake system front axle

- Complete wheels front axle: 9x20 offset 40 with tyres 245/30 R20

rear axle: 11x20 offset 45 with tyres 305/25 R20

- Abt interior (floor mats and new leathered steering wheel)


Price for the complete conversion (parts, painting and mounting) 39.000 € + 19% tax.



Also we are in the process of the development of a supercharger conversion for the R8.


Following specifications are planned and will be introduced or confirmed as soon as the development for this modification is finalized.

Power: 530 hp

Torque 550 Nm

High speed 317 km/h

Acceleration 3,9 sec. 0-100 km/h


Price 27.500 € + 19% VAT.

Abt is offering supercharger before MTM..., actualy, I don't even know is MTM going offer that at all.

Anyhow, this car is going to be speed-one... !
