Steering Rack..?

Had lots of noises going on under the car.. brought it in to Champion and they say it's just the steering rack. Could the steering rack really be causing all those noises?

(i'm talkin knocks, rattles ect.. from several different places under the car.)

That's the only thing that hasn't been replaced on my car for the same problem. But yes that could be it as I have read plenty of posts where people had the rack completely loose causing what you are experiencing. I had bushings shot on upper and lower control arms, links, stabilizer bar. Better now. But think my DRC is finally going as now have rattling over quick close bumps in passenger rear where I cannot find anything loose.

some have reported simply that the mounting bolts for the rack are just loose, no damage, just retighted....

I got the whole "we need to order you a new steering rack.. hold onto that loaner for about a week".. i'm not happy. :w:
