..Time of 16.3 seconds, this you may think is good but according to a MBWorld member, that's slow compared to the E55K at 15.0 seconds.

What's the best the RS6 has had in the 0-100-0mph shoot out?

Seems resonable. The E55 is a rocket in a straight line - as long as the sun shines.

Best 0-100 I have read was 4.8 seconds

I think Car & Driver 4.7 or 4.6 0-60 mph

The Best 0 to 60mph I saw was in Automobile magazine they had 4.3 and 0 to 100mph 10.4 and i think the 1/4 mile was 12.8 at 108mph. Those were the fastest numbers I have seen. It is very strange though as I saw in Road and Track(either that or Car and Driver) 0 to 60mph in 4.4 and 0 to 100 10.8 and i cant remember 1/4 mile. Then in Car and driver(or Road an Track, I may have mixed) they post 0 to 60mph in 4.6 sec and can't remember 0 to 100mph and 1/4 mile.

There seems to be a wide range of numbers which I find very odd since RS6 is a autobox. Then if you look at mtm and amd tuned cars with 505bhp and 515Bhp there times are either the same or slower??????? Can anyone explain these big differences. You whould thing a tuned car with 515bhp whould be faster than a stock but I have yet to find a tuned car beating the numbers in Automible magazine. Which begs the question with these numbers to tune or not to tune?

I have tuned my 92 S4 with great results and much faster numbers....but I cant find any difference currently with the tuned RS6 cars. I may be way off base but from what I have read it seems to be the case.

German sport auto which is a very reliable source concluded this in one of their test.

This time is a lot better than I've seen elsewhere. Did Audi supply a car with a little more boost or not? I certainly don't know but the tests I've done with stock vs. tuned (Hohenester 500 bhp) show that from 0 - 100 km/h there is very little to be gained by chipping. However 0 - 160/200 km/h etc. is a different story.
In the quarter mile you can go from a high 12 to a low, not bad for such a big car.

I am currently on the lookout for an RS6 tuned by Hohenester/ACE here in Sweden which is supposed to have changed both turbos and do a sub 4 second run to 100 km/h.
When I find the owner I hope I'll be able to tell you more...

I would love to see the same test done on a wet track! I think the result would be different, but I wonder by how much?

Erik,

If you do find info on the modified RS6 with new turbos please let me know. I know the K04 are a bit small but get the job done. I assume with the big increase in HP ther would probably have to be mods done to the autobox so that it does blow to bits. It would be great to get below the 4 second mark which would obviously lower 0 to 100 and 0 to 150. I am planning on modifying my RS6 once it gets state side, just don't know to what extent.

Thanks

I heard the gear box can take up to 'only' 600nm of torque.

Wouldn't take my word for it as I got it from a 'weird' source.

The engine has great tuning potential, but it's the drive train that can't handle the enhanced engine power. Most likely.

0 to 100 was 11.0 seconds the time that you are quoting was 0 to 100 to 0 . :addict: :addict:

From what I've seen the gear box can take up to about 670 - 700 Nm unmodified.

But I guess it is possible to chip the car so that you get more hp and same torque as the smaller conversions.

The gear ratios listed for the 5 HP 24 transmission match the ratios in the US RS 6 spec PDF that's been posted previously. Assuming that the W280 torque converter is used with that gearbox, the rated max torque is 520Nm - not much higher than stock.
