380 hp sounds nice but it will have big turbo lag IMHO.
I presume there will be a big turbo in play.
I still don't understand why no tuner develop a bi-Turbo kit for the 2.0TFSI, one turbo for two cylinders.

I also think that a lot of turbo lag is in play, just like the Mitsubishi evo 8 fq400 has but thats is still quite an achievement go mtm! hope that Mr Balsen will give us more info...

i think MTM knew what they were doing so if they know to built an engine with less turbo lag that's them!let see how good the new mod is it!I think TT to this engine would not fit, to small engine bay!

You need a hybrid turbo for that.

I have visitied MTM web site but I found only short information which says "The mtm performance package creates an uncompromising racer with power upgrade options of up to 380 bhp". Unfortunately web site says nothing more. Can I order such a kit or not yet ?

One or 2 turbos has no difference to lag, unless you use sequential turbos. Meaning one small for response, one large for top-end. But this requires complicated piping and control mechanisms.
380hp sound like lag from 2 litres, but with variable valve timing it might start to seriously pull from 3500 rpm.
No, that is 2000 rpm too late, I'll stick to the V8tt, thanks :)

MTM will be at Hockenheim tomorrow for the Tuner Grand Prix with an Audi S3 Clubsport. I will have more news there.

This 380 hp engine mod will be awesome in the light Audi TTS.
It wil be very fast with it and have awesome performance.

My little finger told me that MTM got 5 was five times in the top three for a total of 6 cars registered. It includes victory in 3 classes...

I am doing the selection for an article on MTM France Web Site. I took about 500 pictures yesterday at Hockenheim. It was my best Tuner GP, for MTM Cars and for the quality of the cars in the paddock...
We should make it an rs6.com event next year.

OK, 130 kg was a little bit too much :D
The technical data-section at audi.de is currently "under construction",
but the official weight for the S3 (empty, means without fuel and without driver) is 1455 kg, for the TTS 1395 kg (empty).
To this 60 kg difference add the options which TTS has standard (like Leather-Alcantara, bigger wheels, magnetic ride,...) for the S3, and your at about 100 kg...
And why compete the S3 with TTS-S-tronic - there's no S-Tronic available in the S3 yet :confused:

The car currently has around 390hp (450Nm) and a few mods will be made during the next weeks to finally reach the 400hp. Performance is really good - check out the figures below... We've tested the S3 against an Audi R8 with R-tronic and the S3 was faster...

The Assembly time is scheduled with 16 hours - alltogether it will probably take a week to successfully install and test the car.
