As far as the article goes, though, it doesn't thoroughly discuss the future of Audi, but basically states that Audi's model line-up isn't as complete as that of Mercedes and BMW before going on to list upcoming Audi releases.

One thing that really got my attention, though, is design head Walter de Silva's comment (my translation) "people either liking or disliking the design is most important to me--it's bad if people aren't affected at all!" That might as well have been said by Chris Bangle. I don't think that good design per definition needs to be controversial--quite the contrary, actually. Nor do I think that polarizing opinions should be an end in itself.

Luckily, da Silva continues, saying "at the same time, we've been working on avoiding having the cars look overdone; the form should be clean and simple but express a strong personality." Now that's more like it! :D
