So what you are finally saying old friend as my estimates of the R8 true lap time are soon to be realised. :D

Now imagine how much quicker the R8v10 will be, is it possible to get close to the GTR? ;)

7.38min as Nissan claim? NO. R8 V10 will be 5s-8s faster then current R8, depending on options(weight).

For example my R8 wieghts 1605kg(manual,Magnetic Ride, Electric seats, B&O etc.). Add Buckets(-15kg) and Ceramics(-18kg) and you will get 1572kg...
BTW, my pics and report next week...

Is the V10 engine heavier than the V8? How much?

R8 V10 will be 60-75kg heavier. Engine alone is around 30kg more, add more oil and coolant, bigger oil tank(dry sump) etc. and you get that figure...

Ceramic Brakes will be delivered in mid April, I will receive my second R8 V8 in May with the brakes.

the 305 are only available with the polished wheels for the titanium colored wheels 295 , why no idea.

Mike,
Regarding tire size-true indeed but, since all three wheels are the same size and same offset you can put 305 on any of these rear wheels.
I forgot Titanium 19" which will become available somewhere at the end of Q2 2008.

BTW, how do you like your Bucket seats?

The weight will depend on final spec. As for it eventual lap time I am guessing something like 7:42 for the R8v10 but this will be the finished product in it's optimum trim (DSG7sp, ceramic and CUP tyres). I know this final spec is still a year or so away but remember this time and where you heard it as you will see it in the future. :D
