VW Canada put out a video back in the early 90s about Audi's racing when they were competing in rally races and on the road in the US in the late 80s with their 90 and 200. Great short video, have it here somewhere.

Yes otherwise Audi had used it @ Lemans in the R8 V8TFSI and R10 TDI as in the DTM-serie A4.

Are the R8 and R10 RWD and the DTM A4 FWD then?

DTM A4s are RWD (as are R8 and R10). quattro was used by Audi in touring cars in the 90s until it was effectively banned.

I saw the movie long ago, really nice.
I still can't understand how can they just ban something like that!?!?!
I mean, there is no trick, anyone can come with a 4x4 system if they want.
How can they ban it cause the car is much better than competition? That's what makes the competition, everyone trying to be better than the other!!!

A very nice movie, wonder how the racing would have look liked today if AWD still was permitted.
