I was just watching an episode from TOP GEAR on the MB SLR and came up with the idea of a full body carbon fiber '03 RS 6. Anyone know of a company or shop that would be able to undergo this task? What would the cost be? 40K? 60K? This would make the beast the undisputed "light weight" champion of the road! Just a thought.

i always think about to change the whole body of cars into carbon fiber, i know only one example

BMW Z4 by TC KLINE RACING: CARBON COUPE
google finds this for example:
http://www.germancarzone.com/z4-roadster-coupe/5976-all-carbon-z4-m-coupe-tc-kline-racing.html

"Carbon fiber specialist TC Kline Racing has created a new vehicle it calls the "Carbon Coupe," based on the BMW Z4M Coupe. Previously, the company built a Z4 roadster with a custom carbon body, weighing 400 lbs less than the regular version. Now, TC Kline has turned its attention to the Z4 coupe. The 100% autoclaved carbon fiber body brings the overall weight to 2780 lbs — 515 pounds less than the standard 3295 lbs!........."

The cost would probably be more than a brand new 580 horsepower RS6.

The vehicle in your avatar is probably the best RS6 you can buy. Champion sold them for about 200k IIRC.
