Can anyone of you guys out there help me with the breakdown of the production-numbers of the Audi RS6 (old model lol)...? I know that approximately 8000 RS6-Audi's were produced, of whom 1200 were sold in North America and that 999 Audi-Plus RS6 were produced. Anyone have an idea of the numbers sold by country...? I wanna know how rare my RS6 Avant 2005 is in Belgium !

Yours is the only one there.

Clearly a special order 2005 model LOL.....

Yeah right Aronis, it's a 2004 car but was first brought on the road in march 2005... But ah...no breakdown figures? Grrrrrrrrrr

Erik R.

Yeah well, it is a 2004 car first brought on the road in March 2005. A salesman of the biggest VW-Audi garage in Belgium (Antwerp) told me they had two RS6 customers, one of them being the BOB (Belgians secret police), driving a sedan without any signs (no logo's, no alu...).

Come on, they must have alloys... :D

I think it will attract more attention without alloys...

I'm from Sint-niklaas ;)

A friend of mine must have seen you driving on the E17. You should join us when we keep another audi-meeting in the harbor of Antwerp!

Hi,

unfortunately no RS6 for me yet (still student :D ) I drive a Audi 100 Sport turbo quattro. A friend of mine, and forummember (Leftlane) however does have one, also black!

I'll ask leftlane when we're gonna organize the next meeting, I'll let you know!

2 pics from the last RS meeting:

A couple of dutch friends were invited :)
Apart from those RS's, there were all sorts of Audi's (and belgians) RS2, S3, 90q, 200 turbo, A5 3.0tdi, even an A3 1.9TDIe :hihi:

I'll let you know for the next meeting, always great fun :thumb:

As far of the RS6's in Belgium. There are 2 here in Sint-Niklaas, and beside that I've seen about 6 other RS6's in Belgium. I'm guessing about 30-40 in total?

Erik R.
January 18th, 2008, 16:38
Yeah Steve, must be something like that... But in the meantime maybe 5 or so ended against a tree, as i was told by my garage-insider...

I really would like to have an exact number of RS6-es driving around per country.... Wouldn't it be lovely to get into contact with an owner in, say, Nepal or so...:hihi: :harass:

That my car indeed! thanks :)

Maybe you should give D'ieteren a call, an ask how many were sold in Belgium. Or the DIV for checking how many are still on the road in belgium.

Got some pictures of your RS6? :rs6kiss:

January 18th, 2008, 17:08
Yeah, i'll have to do that i guess...No pics yet, but 'll make sure to post some shortly...

I went to Germany between Christmas and New Year and when i came back the car was sooooooooo dirty, would have liked a pic of that!

By the way, i went to full speed there and easily passed the 250km/h mark, upto 260! Then i had to break because cars came in front of me, but the "begrenzing" or "limitation" to 250 is not really correct :applause: , it goes faster ! :rs6kiss: :addict:

steve
January 18th, 2008, 17:24
The speed showed is not correct, there is some fault in it ("tellerafwijking")
260-270 is normal for the limiter to kick in. Then you are doing a real 250km/h. Remove the limiter, and with a bit of luck you'll get it up to 315 on the counter :D
Pic from Leftlane's stock topspeed (removed limiter)
I think he reaced 301 real km/h's...not sure. He'll be able to tell when he passes this thread :)

I guess you're absolutely right Chief ! Anyway, when i have my speed limit removed i want ceramic breaks, safety first !!! :addict:

steve

Ceramic brakes would be a very wise (and expensive˛˛!) upgrade! :thumb:

Erik R.
January 18th, 2008, 19:59
OK Steve, I've heard they'd cost around 7000 € and there's no resale added value...yet they last a lifetime (bwah... 300.000 km) and what do the standard breaks cost...?:deal:

how can this photo be correct, i mean the speedo is on 300km/hr and the fuel tank gauge is on full.

inquiring minds want to know - were you towing a fuel bowser??

:-)

speedo is showing 315, and where does the gauge usually stand just after a fill-up? :D

You can better see the topspeed in the average-speed comp.

Despite the crisis I still have my RS6, built february 4th 2004. Now they are gonna punish CO2 output with extra taxes in Belgium...

What will be the fiscal impact in Belgium, anybody knows? Any other countries where fiscal measures are being taken against strong cars...?

Give the USA a couple of years. Our carbon tax is coming for everyone except the pig farmers. It seems our EPA has added Co2 to the list of "dangerous" chemicals that "must" be regulated. Oh, but we must only regulate "tax" that which we can make money on and who wants to stick meters in pigs a$$es?

Pretty soon we'll all be wearing these - but they'll work in reverse - to protect the environment from the harmful CO2 we all flippantly spew into the atmosphere, just because we are so self-indulgent that we feel it necessary to "breathe", because we think we need our precious "oxygen", so we can "live".

Diesel will cost a lot more, because the government will increase the taxes on diesel.

So you're better of with your RS6. :D
