Took a couple of pics. 10secS4 was asking me about it. Doesn't look bad. Need to paint or change the screws holding the gauge cup. Escort SR7 above the steering column.

Aren't those illegal in Virginia! :nono:

I am up here in Northern Virginia and feel 'the pain' of having to hide my Valentine. :hahahehe:

Nice setup, decent location for the boost gauge.

Of course. :love2: I can't drive anywhere without one though. Keeps me alert as I'm usually using the sunvisor to hide the detector when a cop pulls up next to me. LOL . Have the SR7 in the RS6. Also using the Escort X50 & Beltronics STI Driver. Both nice but no arrows!!! Always looking to see where in the hell there at. Gotta get a Valentine One. Can't believe he hasn't made that thing a little smaller though. I guess when you have something good why fix it?

I can't drive anywhere without my V1 either (I am 55 miles one way to work) and I can say the arrows are the best.

You can buy a remote face that you can place in a concealed location yet viewable... not that I would recommend something illegal like that! :nono:

Ignorance is not knowing better. Stupidity is knowing better and doing it anyway. I have no patience with stupidity.

Thanks DuckWingDuck. Best place I could find to mount it.

I would never recommend anything illegal like that either, but when you have some new laws here in our great Commonwealth for getting a wreckless driving ticket you gotta do what you gotta do. :w:

Very nice, but me personally, I think I want it in a less conspicuous spot, like maybe the glove box. :hahahehe:

My RS6 actually came with the K40 radar detection. I didn't even notice it had it until I went through all of the paperwork/receipts that came with the car (the system was turned off when I took delivery of the car). It was a pleasant surprise. :hihi:

Ya, the spot is decent, don't want to be one of those ricers putting that stuff up there by the windshield. I've got the Beltronics Pro RX75, damn nice remote system.

where did you tap the line for gauge? routing through firewall?

tnx :thumb:

Originally had it tapped at the DV's. Not sure why. Easiest to get to I guess. I know better than that. Boost would obviously fluctuate when the DV's opened! LOL. Have it teed in at the fuel pressure regulator. Short hose under the intake in front of the MAFs. Ended up replacing that hose and the DV hoses. They always use those cloth wrapped hoses that crack and break so replaced with silicone hoses.
I used an existing hole in the firewall. I think where the computer harness wire goes thru.

nice gauge, however did they ever make for the RS6 and electronic device which allows you to get all sorts of infos on the onboard computer: oil pressure, boost pressure, all sorts of temps and all... haven't seen such setup on any of yours cars.

That's cool. How do you bring that up on your car? What happened with the S6?

I once found this this Pdf (http://www.s3-passion.com/efu-g2.pdf) on the net, sorry it's in french, but never heard of it again, and would be a VERY nice feature on our cars to have!!

My s6 had major electronic problems, audi replaced the entire computer on my car, which did well for a bit (maybe 2 weeks) and then started going wrong again. Audi bought the car back from me as it was not even 6 months old, and after going through the entire car, realised a bunch of wires were put in wrong ( or so they said...)... Why did it work at some point and then not?? I have no idea. Never the less it was a very fun car, and now that the RS6 is in the pipe, their is no reason to get another S6... IMO

No French here. :lovl: I'll just guess that this isn't available on the RS6's. Unless 10secS4 translates and it works.

Nice boost gauge!

Ok, I will show my ignorance... Is that collective boost or just one side of a turbo outlet or on the diverter valve?

IMAO, the photo from Charles DLF don't look an RS6, possibly another model of Audi. That would be very cool if one could have the boost in the LCD there...

I sent an e-mail to the company that makes the add on to see if they offer it for the RS6.

That computer addon is smoking!!! Please definitely let us know how it turns out.

I second the amazing K40. My first RS6 had it installed when I bought it and I too did not know it was installed until I started to hear the beep beep buzz buzz on the drive home from NJ to GA. Love it so much bought another one and had it installed with the laser detector/jammer in RS6 #2. It is stealth (like the RS6) and the LEDs are installed in bottom of the instrument cluster. When I get pulled over I just turn the knob to "off" under my right knee.

That K4- has saved my bacon MANY times.

Just looked a little more for you guys into the whole thing with the coputer and it comes out that the company never built the device. The pictures i found is a photoshopped one, about the project they had (for whoever was wondering, it was on an S3) and although i didn't really catch the details, they never got it to work... unfortunatly! Project dates back to 2004 i think, and has been abandonned quite some time ago...

here's what i found, translated for you guys:

In ENGLISH:

The long awaited version for the CAN-Bus, therefore for the cars starting in 2002, should have been available in summer 2004, but is constantly being delayed. This picture (as previously posted) is from January 2004. It (the version) will integrate new options which allows the SIC display to be used in a different way, as illustrated. The setup will be much easier as the EFU G-2 can collect numerous parameters directly from the Audi Bus system to extract the needed info.

For better understanding: SIC = drivers information system, or in french: Système d'Information du Conducteur.

No problem. It is collective boost because is being read of the manifold to the FPR (fuel pressure regulator).

Kinda figured it wasn't an RS6 but hoped that we could do something like that with our cars.

Hmm... My german isn't what it used to be but as far as I can understand these guys offer at least for older cars this. Anyone with better german than me could have a look:

http://www.zusatzinstrumente.de/

Edit: found on their pages an english installation manual. Not for cars with CAN-bus so not an option. According to the manual there will be a version for CAN-bus cars but I could not find any yet.
