I saw this over at audiworld that Alcon is coming out with a much more durable clutch thats rated to hold 20% more power than the stock one. They said the pedal stiffness should be the same but the feel should be less vague.

Ceramic metallic 6 puck clutch, should be a winner.

I would assume so, Alcon is based in the UK and it even says made in UK on it.

Nice, definitely let us know how it goes. The clutch is my least favorite part of the RS4, very vague and tricky.

I agree, it does not "Feel good" changing quickly @ higher RPM, "Spongey" would be my take on it.:stick:

This is the Email I got today;

Hi John,

We have a drive plate in our range to fit the Audi RS4 from 2006 onwards (4.2l V8 engine)

This is only the drive plate, not the cover. It has a torque capacity of 500Nm, I believe the standard output is 430Nm.

If you can let me know your location I will be able to refer you to one of our distributors.

Thanks and Best Regards

Rob Capaldi

It looks too close to the original Torque figure to be of much use to me, 430 standard ( with built in margin of what we dont know) up too 500 NM .
I Can not see the point of changing.:noshake:

I heard its going to be much more durable than the stock clutch. When I first tested the RS4 at the Streets of Tomorrow event they let us drive the RS4 the first day around their autocross like course but on the 2nd day they didn't let people because people had worn the clutches out.
