They have now completed testing and the the price for the cat back system is £838.88 inc vat and fitting would take an hour which would be an additional £76.38 inc vat.

I need to hear one before i shell out for it, i have heard story's that the system doesn't actually add that much in way of sound.

So hesitant at the moment,

oh, this is in the UK - if anyone is interested i have contact for a top notch garage that will fit them

Dear ellstimpo,

actually the improvement regarding sound is not what you might assume. But you noted this correctly. I have to say it is a bit more aggressive, not too much to go for it as a must.

After hearing it on Youtube I doubt I would shell out nearly £900 for something which really isn't that much better, but would hold judgement until I hear it in person.

Dear ellstimpo,

you might want like the upcoming Topgear Exhaust System for the S5. The Soundlevel is "adjustable" with different pre-Silencers for example, in fact you can get straight lines with no pre-Silencers at all.

Attached you will find pics of the prototype System.

Whats the price on it ??? Also does fitting these kind of exhaust's void Audi Warranty at all?

I put on X-OST on my Ferrari, but only when it was out of Manufac Warranty as they said it might void certain aspects. I wasn't going to f around when an engine re-build could be £15k and blamed on a sports exhaust

Qisha,

What's the effect on performance with either system?

Dear Leadfoot,

both Systems are not certified yet. I would assume nameless increases if the stock catalyst and gas pre-pipes are not changed as well. You want to lower gas counter pressure ín order to increase in performance. If you get the whole package i expect about 12KW/16hp max. Price/Value is not recommandable, to be honest.

I would wait for a "MagnaFlow" or "Tubi Style" system.

I like what Magnaflow do and the sound they produce, don't know much about Tubi style apart from they make systems for a lot of Italian exotics.

They also make a system for the RS4 V8 4.2 and soon for the R8.

Tubi is fine an a Ferrari or a Lambo, but i decided i didn't want a Tubi on my Ferrari because its too boomy. Deff dont want that sound on my everyday car.
