New B8 RS4 after facelift?

will the B8 RS4 come out after the facelift of the B8 just like the B6 and B7??? what do you think?. i just dont hope so! BUT when the B8 RS4 will be avaible before the B8 facelift. will be there the RS4 for the B8 facelift too or just for the "old B8"????? audi would be stupid if they just bring out RS4 for the facelifted B8.
they should do like M-gmbh and M5series.

Are you aksing whether or not the RS4 will come as a B8, or a B9 ? . I don't think anyone know, at this point of time, but i think there will be a B8 RS4.

in short: B8 RS4 as non facelift or B8 RS4 just as facelift like the B7 RS4??? perfect would be B8 RS4 and B8 facelift RS4. if they wouldnt do it they would be so fucking stupid like on the B7 RS4 (because there wasnt B6 RS4 and B7 was facelift.)

As Audi recently said, the RS & S models will be launched earlier than before. The new RS4 will be based on the B8-model, before any facelift.

That is less, we are only talking of two years now and not the four it was with the last model. I think you are forgetting that the S4 has been around from 2003 and the A4 a year before that, the new A4 is only going on sale from early 2008 which means 2 years for the RS4.:thumb:

Woah wait, didn't the B7 A4 start production at 2004 and RS4 at 2006...? That's two years, and announced 2 years for B8 is the same, not less...

Well, in Germany, B6 A4 debuted late 2000 and S4 came 2 years later, in 2002. B7, which was the facelifted version of B6 came late 2004, 4 years after original model and a few month later came the RS4. That was in early 2005, remember the Quattro Night Event which was in February, 2005, the RS4 was debuted there.
So if nothing changed since then, we should wait at least 4 years for the new beast but i think things have changed so we will probably see it earlier.

Like Toto89 said the B7 was the face-lift model, the original B6 was out much, much earlier and with this model the RS4 came out 4 years later, unlike the next one which will be two.

i just hope audi wouldnt do the same as B6 to B7. if you see B7 is the Facelift from the B6 and the B6 never got a RS4 version, just the B7. i hope that audi wouldnt release the B8 RS4 just after a B8 facelift, because we wouldnt get a unfaceliftet RS4 version of the B8 (if the differences in design would so big as from B6 to B7). the perfect thing would be B8 RS4 and B8 facelift RS4 ^^.

Leadfoot: if the RS4 will be here in 2010 than S4 should be here next year, right? I do not like the fact all the leaked lists about Audi's future are ignoring the S4/RS4. Since the S5 got out same day as the A5, what is so hard for them to come up with an S4 a few months after the A4 B8.

i think they are testing engines, maybe supercharger vs. twinturbo. i think it will be a 3.0 TT or something and the engine is maybe not ready or something ;-).
