hmm in the new auto-motor-und-sport magazin is a preview about the next gen 5er series. they said. there will be 4 and 6 cylinder engines (not the diesel ! the petrols) turbod and biturbod. now when i look at this and now, bmw has already the 3.0 TT and the 4.4TT for the X6.

looks like BMW would produce in future more turbo and biturbo engines than audi???? i dont hope so! :nono:

BMW needs to cut emissions aswell. :)

But i'm not seeing why audi should produce more turboed engines then BMW?

Not that i think that will happen soon. If you line up the current ones with the rumoured ones.

1.4t(f)si
1.8tfsi
2.0tfsi
2.5t(f)si? (TT/RS?)
3.2ttfsi? (s4?/rs4?)
#edit
5.0ttfsi ( i forgot the new RS6 engine, ups  )

There's always the W12TT from the Bentley. Not Audi but VAG nonetheless. And the W16QT.

There's always the W12TT from the Bentley.
There is a rumour that say the W12 engine production will come to a stop soon.
I don't know if this only will be the atmo version used in the Audi A8 W12 and VW's or also the W12TT used by Bentley.
In that case Bentley can be start using the V10TT engine of the RS6. ?

Thats not true. The engine will be altered, but in no way will production stop, this engine is used by 4 manufacturers! :nono:

So far i know Audi will stop using de W12 engine in the near future or already have.
I believe it's not availeble anymore in the facelifted A8.

The W12 engine is far behind in technology as Audi hasn't really felt like working on it. As it doesn't make many of them. But with FSI and Valvelift I am sure Audi can pump it up to about 500 horsepower without turbos. But it probably doesn't need to do that.
