What a masterpiece of engineering. Vorsprung durch Technik, I'd say...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/mediaselector/check/topgear/mediaplayer/consoles/topgear?redirect=console.shtml&nbram=1&bbram=1&tab=1

go to "challange" and then choose "A8 running on empty"

also check out "head to head" and then "Audi vs. climber"

I was the RS4 vs. the climbers. And I know JC doesn't like germans but when it comes to Audi he always has to admit their fantastic. Look at what he said about the previous rs6, the RS4 B7, the RS4 before that, the r8,....
Even this diesel is praised by JC! and if you would only knew how he hates diesels!

This car that he drove to Edinbrugh and back on the one tank is the car registered before my A8.

Nice RS6Plus, dave. Did you hear about the one in Scotland that was damaged by the airport officials? I'd be going crazy. I'm guessing you've kept her stock?:addict:

Nice notice on the plate, btw.

Also, a friend in England has the 4.2TDi- a very impressive powertrain

Yeh i did hear about that, pretty sad case. I am always concerned leaving my cars at airports, and try to use other methods of getting there. I always check the milage before and after to be sure, plus my cars have GPS tracking.
Its interesting my car sounds identical to that man, and i regularly fly to Scotland leaving my car in Birmingham (basically the opposite route to what he does.)
