Engine oil??

can anyone give me some advice please....:vhmmm: i just ran in my RS4 and have just over 1500 miles on the clock, and want to give it an oil change. A friend of mine (a mechanic) recommends using Mobil 1. I know Audi want you to use Castrol......please advise...many thanks..... sorry if this topic has been discussed before..... :rs4kiss:

You can use any oil that meets the VW spec shown in your Owners Manual.

I always use Castrol Edge 5W/30.

Make sure he reads the oil change thread on Tyresmoke by Daz, unless he is an Audi Tech

Castrol used to be owned by BP, don't know if that's still the case but known how good BP products are I reckon Castrol should be OK.

P.S.

The same will apply to Mobil 1, another quality oil.
