Well, after 6 months of searching for the right one, i've finally got my first Porsche. Was looking at 964's, 993's and 996's. It's a 98' 996 Carrera in Arctic Silver, manual, with the M010 sports suspension and 18" design classic split rims and Metropole blue hard back sports seats. Picked it up a week or so a go. Just been so busy, havn't even had the chance to give it a clean yet.

Here are some pics from the ad.

Congratulations, seems like it true drivers car !

I was having similar situation year ago and ended buying 964 T. It's quite a difference between aircooled and watercooled models, both having it's + and -

Thanks OTT,

I think i saw pics of your 964 on here before...v.v.nice!

A 964 was the original plan, but i use the Porsche everyday and I just need some of the creature comforts that the newer model brings...i.e A/C that actually works! And no offset driving position that the RHD air-cooled motors suffer from.

The air-cooled sounds much better in my opinion and are more intimate. One day i wll have one, but it won't be a daily driver and will have to be part of a Porsche collection. Really fancy a 993 2S in the future, to my eyes the best looking 911 ever, and a good drive to.

Cheers Klint,

Yeah RMS was changed along with the clutch 8k miles ago. This is why the search took so long tbh, looking for a car that had been well looked after right from the go. This one came with a full stack of receipts.

Yeh great stuff Klint. I found 911uk really helpful during the whole purchase procedure...what to look out for, opinions on deals, advice on specialist etc...and they seem like a friendly bunch too!
