I was on the above link that has front/rear pics of EVERY A5 and S5 colour and they are all real-life shots. I seen the Sprint Blue and fell in love! That's the first time I've seen good quality shots of it, wowww! I've only seen a crap quality youtube video of before...

This ones for Leadie, cant wait to see his ;)

Thanks for posting that link, it's very useful to see all the colours together in one place. :thumb:

No probs. Yeah I think it's great because all shots are at the same angles and lighting. Makes it easier to compare colours. ;)

Thanks HKS786 you are a really mate, it was great to go and compare all of the different colour to see which personally you prefer.

From looking at each colour I am even more than happy that I made the right decision in picking Sprint Blue, though both Black and Meteor Grey look good as well.

I has always thought that something like this should have been posted on the site to help everyone pick the right colour and the same would be helpful for the inside if anyone is up to it.

Once again thanks for this. :thumb:

Sprint Blue is the best Audi colour for me. Really nice.

M3_dude, what was that about not not going to praise Audi? :hahahehe: jk lol

Regarding the interior shots, I havent found many real-life shots. Here's a few though:

I remember having a good discussion with Qisha about which was the most popular combination in the S5 and he said that Black was tops, followed by Meteor and Sprint as for interior colours it was again black topping the charts with Red then Brown and last was Silver. The most popular trim was Carbon which is understandable.

I would have went for Sprint Blue/Silver but you told me how dirty it got so I think I would have changed the interior to Black. I really like the Red interior too but I dont like the contrast between Blue/Red, it's a little too much for me. I would love to get Red with Meteor Grey (beautiful) but that would mean missing out on Sprint Blue!

In short: Sprint Blue/Black is what I'd have :D

Mine will be black, silver leather, carbon trim.

I hope you don't have kids or if you do they are grown up because the leather will get hellish dirty and quick. Though it is beautiful looking.

That's my post :D

I recently test drove an Aruba Blue A5 3.0TDI, and it looked absolutely stunning. My old car was a Denim Blue B6 A4, and even though I've never personally seen Sprint Blue, I have faith in Audi delivering yet another excellent shade of blue.

The color I'm most interested in is Avus Silver, though. I've seen it in other models, and on that A5 with the blacked out grill and exhaust, but I'm waiting for it to show up in the UK used car listings (which is where all those pictures came from).

No kids. And we have more than one car.

What colour is the leather on the first S5 picture in sprint blue on this page ? It looks creame/beige. Looks good ?
Light interiors are always nicer places to be, at first at least...:hihi:

The interior is Pearl Silver, looks beautiful but hard to keep.

Funny, I prefer the M3's red to that of the S5.

I find BMW leather more durable though. The worst Audi offender is the new TT. Just plain awfull leather durability. The MK1s looked better after 50,000kms then MK2s after 5000.

I must agree about BMW leather holding up well, as after about 45k miles our X5's leather still looks pretty decent.

On the other hand, my 2002 A4's leather looked even better after a little less than that, about 40k miles...

RussianM3_dude

It's only a problem with certain Audi models. TT specifically.

ah, roger. i have 0 ownership experience with the TT.

This is very easily explained, Audi use a finer grade of leather than BMW, FACT and because of this it will suffer more just like a quality leather suit. This is the reason why the smell of BMW leather is so chemical, the amount of treatment done is unreal.

///M Nappa leather is just as good if not better and is much more durable.

Isn't it funny but when BMW offer Nappa leather it is an option it's at extra cost, unlike Audi which offer it standard on S models and above. Just another way of screwing more money out of us.

In Europe that is. In North America, the m3 came loaded (electric seats, sunroof etc)

In the UK things are the same for both brands, M and S/RS. This is the reason why there isn't that big of a difference between the S5 and 335i when their respective spec is equaled out.

P.S.

I don't you are wrong about the sunroof, as the M3 isn't being offered with a sunroof this time round, remember it's a CF roof this time. ;)

Yes it is. However you lose the CFRP roof. It's a no cost option.

Two things that should be cleared up, HKS786, that's Avus Silver and those wheels aren't standard.

I'm sure you know that, but in case someone who doesn't frequent the forums sees that...

As much as I [usually] dislike anything over 19", these do look alright from most angles. I'd rather the optional OEM 19's or RS4 wheels, but they're not bad..
