What happend to this R8... :hihi: from 301 km/h to 322 km/h... ?
Is it V10 or some tuned V8 ?

STOCK. R-Tronic in Sport Auto mode...
BTW, actual top speed of all R8s is between 302km/h-304km/h... This is 320km/h-323km/h on the speedo...

Why speedo shows that much difference... ? Is that normal ?

just my 2 cent, but to me it seems normal yes. it is only 6% and if you count what diff a used tire can make, it's almost nothing this 6%.
i noticed also it has almost the same gear ratio is my old b5 rs4.
i have to tell you i don't know if mine is as fast as this, i hope for you it isn't...

Few more info:
-this is September 2007 production R8
-new R8s are using rev limiter in sixth gear at full revs 8250rpm
-first bunch of R8 and press cars were using limiter in sixth gear set at 7750rpm-that translates to 306km/h-308km/h on digital speedo or in truth first cars were not as fast as Audi claimed
-from September all R8 engines have full 420hp, press cars and first bunch? Remember first BMW M5?

Funny thing is that the gearing and rpm match the indicated speed. That means the rev counter must be over-reading too if the speed is inaccurate. Possibly hill-assisted.

It is normal that rev counter shows little bit too much. Highest what I have seen was 400rpm.
