To me, the A5/S5 really needs to be lowered significantly and fitted with something that really fills up the archs. Properly done, it can be made to look this good.

Looking god, indeed !

I also think that A5/S5 should be lowered a little...

I think this is the case for all Audis including RS models. They are all a bit to high even the RS4 with SS+.

Not feelin those rims but the drop is beautiful. I agree that the S5 would look better dropped. It gives it an even more exotic look!

Beside the design of the wheels i think this S5 is perfect.
Great drop and the right size of wheels.

:vhmmm: !!!????.....i think we have watched "fast and the furious" a few too many times.....it looks terrible.

Yeah, the rims aren't exactly right up my alley either, but still.....fast and the furious?! Hadn't thought about that resemblence before and perhaps there is something to that point. Nevertheless, not a single piece of extra plastic, no wings, no eye-lids, no chrome stickers, no neon lights, no nothing in terms of japo BS extravaganza..... So no, I'll stick to my first impression.

Say what....? You mean the S5 in general, or just this one? Again, the thing about this one is only that it's quite low and has optional rims, otherwise it's 100 % stock.... *confused*

I like the S5, no doubt about that, I even have a A5 3.0 TDI coming. But sitting that low and with those rims it really doesn't look good.

......confused?, its just stupidly low-why anyone would purchase such a beautifully designed car and prostitute the looks.....is whats confusing.

That may be true, but when is the last time your RSx bottomed out on a speed hump or gutter.

Driving some ultra lowered autos like most Ferrari's and some Porsches around town can end up in a symphony of fiberglass and asphault.

I do like that the engine was moved back behind the front axle on the new Audi's. The 03 RS6 has got quite a snout compared to these new designs.

Honestly, it is very difficult to comprehend how one person can label a particular stock car as one that he loves, and then a second later state about a moderately tuned one things like "hate it, the rims degrade it [the car as a whole], prostituted, OK if you're 15 years old, etc" when the only things (yes, the only things) that's different from stock is chassis height and choice of rims. Those kinds of categorical comments make ME think of 15 year olds....

Basically everyone today works with chassis tuning on aftermarket, which is nothing new or unique to these new S5 tuning cars. If you think they're 1-2 cm too low, well, what the hey, you only need to jack it up a notch or two. Suspension is individually adjustable. As for choice of rims, these aren't ideal in my view either. I only meant to illustrate that the size very well may be.

*still confused*

why does the s5 attract so much bad taste in wheels and TOO big of wheels....
it seems a good drop and some tasteful, deep/flush, non-bling wheels on this car is perfect..
i hate seeing the chromes.. there must be so many ridiculous/ugly S5's rolling around los angeles right now.. i would love to own one but it seems to be the new trendy euro coupe and people are ruining them..

its like when a new club opens.. at first its dope.. good people, good women.. then, 2months later........ its all jocks, guidos, jackasses and whack sluts.. ruined.

I totaly agree.. In some way i disslike the new way of design audi has. (personaly i do love it) but I dont like it becouse it also attracts wrong typ of people that just dont seem to appreciate the good design and craftmanship of the car and do as Silvant says, for example putting chromes, tune them and use all these flashy things, Destroy them in other words.
So I hope Audi keeps the balance whith more sober and discreet design.

after many of us have tried 1" and 1.3" HR Springs, most have agreed that the 1" is best for street for visual and comfort (almost looks as low as 1.3"). For stock wheels, I used 25mm spacers all around, but will switch the front to 20mm. A lot of the Euro guys have been using 10mm front, and 15mm rear. I love the stock wheels!
