Hi,

Does anyone have a detailed comparison between the two systems as I am a little behind in the all the novelties regarding the Quattro 3?

Thanks in advance!

The simplest way to describe the difference between the two is that it's rear axle allows the power to shift between the wheels in much the same way as BMW's M-diff.

Will this function as an LSD as well?

Will this function as an LSD as well? For the rear wheels yes, but it's more than that, the whole manner of the car will change as well to what I believe will be closer to how the R8 drive, eg. more rwd bias in feel at least.

But it's insane that new RS6 will not get it!!!!!!
Audi became crazy to install it on A4 instead of their flagman car - RS6.

How could that be???

Artur777,

To tell you the truth, I really don't know why the RS6 isn't getting it. From what I understand it's installed at/in the rear diff of the quattro system but clearly there must be a more to it than just that.

It probably requires a redesign of the floorpan.
