According to VW this new R50 is the most powerful SUV in the world. It's based on the V10 5.0TDi currently in use which kicks out 313hp, the Cayenne Turbo and ML63 both have 500hp+ so are VW choosing to ignore horsepower and use torque figures instead.

I have read on some german forum that it should have 340 HP and 851 Nm.

Nope, airfield in summer of 2007. Both ways, then calculated on the average speed. :deal:

The equates to £76K for what is after all only a Volkswagen. Sorry folks but VW are clearly off their trolley to think people will spent that much.

Another one wants a Cayenne (Gemballa) with Carrera GT engine...

I doubt an SLR-engined G-Class will make 50mpg either. 5.5 litres, supercharger drag....:doh:
