When travelling at that speed it best to know the people you are overtaking as heaven forbid if someone pulled out on you. :MTM: The thought of it doesn't bear thinking about. :noshake:

I haven't done 300km/h (186mph) but I have sat at just shy of 180mph and it's amazing how it heightens your senses to such a level that I swear I could see at right-angles while looking straight ahead. Not an experience I would like to reply on a public road.

Call me a whimp but 155mph is plenty quick enough for me.

After 250 km/h (155 mph) every 10 km/h you add is pretty nasty.

In those sorts of speeds you need a lot of focus and a deserted autobahn.

At 300 km/h there are no friends...

315 km/h was no problem. Not the best cruising speed perhaps.
The car started to feel a bit light, no wonder when Jumbojets take of a around 270 km/h. :lovl:

On Autobahn I think 200 km/h is ok when travelling long distances.

I think I would prefer to do 315km/h(197mph) in your RS6 than my 178mph in the Porsche I was in. Their nose isn't tied down to great at the best of times. ;)

That 315 km/h on the RS6 tacho will be only hardly 300 km/h gps verified.

I find it amazing how "relaxed" one can drive 250 - 275 km/h in this car. Indeed above 275 km/h it gets tricky, not to keep the car on the road, but to stare in front of you for obstacles.
In any case one can't do it for more than 200 km, cause you would be running out of fuel. :hihi:
I think it uses around 40-42 lit/100km at > 290 km/h.
It's hardly visible on the picture below but still:

And to once more illustrate the thirstyness of the RS6:

Camera car Merc. SLR??

Or SL55/65 but hard to tell since both the SLR and SLīs have the three "gills" on the bonnet
