And there's another that shows more. What do you guys think about the grille and headlights? headlights might grow on me but that grille isnt looking good, from that angle at least. Looks like there is too much chrome and there should be 2 bars...

Agreed, I don't like it. I don't think they could have made it any better looking to begin with. I feel like they shouldn't have done this and just started plans for a new chassis to offer better handling for something that costs so much... and a working dif, so you don't have to limp to KLEEMANN.

Is this all new '09 model, or face lift of the current SL... ?

I originally thought that the 09 model was the SL with a new chassis. I had heard at one point that this was the last year for the R230, but after looking around I havn't found any info on the new chassis. All I've found is saying that this is a face lift - CLS style head-lamps, new bumper and grill.

Previous SL was in production for a long time, 1989 - 2001 or even maybe 2002. Current one was premiered on IAA 2001, so it is possible that this one will be ''long living'' model too.

That's what I was thinking... I feel pretty awkward I can't remember where I heard this info for the new chassis but I know I heard it. Obviously wasn't correct. :doh:
