So according to that source the R8 V10 will be Twin Turbo? That should scare alot of people and will most possibly be the king of the everyday Super Car that the Porsche 911 Twin Turbo has held for many years

Great news about A1, A3 and DSG. 150kg weight saving is a lot! sounds great. Also, I had no idea that the V10 TT would be in the R8! I actually doubted it. So we now have a 580bhp R8 ! :love:

it's a pity elstimpo isnt around anymore. I dont think he could have denied that this R8 is a supercar although he dismissed the current R8 as one. :lovl: Oh yeah, I also remember hearing that the R8 will be facelifted to look like the R8 Spider. They will have headlights more like the Le Mans Concept. I guess it makes sense now that the new A4 has headlights that are similar to the current R8.

I just read the interview and regarding the R8, there could be a chance that it wont receive the V10 TT. We cant be 100% certain that he confirmed it. All he said was "You are very impatient."

I have to agree, 580hp and 650Nm of torque would prove to be not only to much for the Gallardo or even the 997Turbo and I very much doubt that either Porsche or Lamborghini would be very happy with this idea.

I reckon it will be 500hp or just over, think M6 power and I think you will be spot on.

no way guys. most hp the V10 will carry is 510 IMO.

it'll be shown before the RS5, whose engine is still a mystery to me. probably a V8 with two turbos.
