R8 is better, but 2 years till you wait one you can have a 911.

I think R8 looks more exotic then the 911 of which many, many are around, but I'd still take a 911C2S with a power pack over the R8.

I expected the 997 4S with power pack to win off the line, like I always say the Porsche's power is more per pound. But on the track you could clearly see that the R8 was the better balanced chassis especially through the esses.

I love Porsches but compared to the looks of the R8 I can't think of another cars I would want to own more.

When you see both cars on the track you can understand why I rate the Cayman a better car than the 997 and why the R8 is a much better behaved car also. The 997 is far to tail happy especially in the esses where it was all over the place, sure it's amazing compared to the normal sports/supercar but in this company I felt it was found wanting.

No doubt many would disagree with my opinion but after driving the normal 997S on the track I was less than impressed.

Maybe I wasn't skilled enough.;)

The R8 looks so stable and spot-on in the track. Changes directions like a housefly while the Porsche's all over the place sometimes. Funny test comparing two almost identical cars when i comes to performance. :revs:

And look at the design of the R8, the 911 is a damn good looking car. But compared to the R8, it just doesn't stand a chance!
